Translation: Mark Kieffer.
This sixteenth century piece was transcribed by Franz Liszt for piano in 1862, then for organ the following year. It is in the organ transcription that this handbell edition has its origins. Handbell settings of this famous Liszt work are rare and this one is very straightforward yet masterfully constructed for handbells. This is an excellent choice for worship, concert, or festivals.
