This lilting dance tune was originally scored for piano in 1870 by the Norwegian nationalist, Edvard Grieg. Set for 4-7 octaves of handbells, this sparkling transcription is suitable for any occasion. Playable by 4 or 5 octaves, those with handbells below C3 will appreciate the added richness with the use of those optional handbells. The allegro section of the work offers challenging runs for the middle octaves. Another wonderfully fresh setting of a classic standard.
